Red Cross Needs Your Help: 2/17
As a result of the recent bad weather across the country on the heels of the holiday season, the blood supply has drastically decreased. Please join the American Red Cross and Residence Life on February 17 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Farley Hall (apartments) Basement Conference Room for their Spring Semester Blood Drive. Relay For Life is an 12-hour walkathon to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This year's Relay For Life will take place on April 16-17 in the Pavilion. There will be tons of food, games and prizes! Spotlight on Leadership w/ Bob Woodward: 2/14
Tickets are going quickly for the Spotlight on Leadership event w/ Mr. Bob Woodward, associate editor of the Washington Post. The event will take place in the Villanova Room on Monday, February 14, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. You can purchase your $5 tickets at www.villanovatix.com. Mr. Woodward has authored or coauthored 16 national bestselling books and he is the recipient of two Pulitzer Prizes for his coverage of the Watergate scandal and September 11. Mr. Woodward's presentation will look at the leadership successes and failures of Presidents from Nixon to Bush—-and will offer lessons that can guide President Obama in his administration.

Susan Abulhawa, Author of "Mornings in Jenin": 2/3
Arab & Islamic Studies presents Susan Abulhawa, Author of Mornings in Jenin, a novel about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, on Thursday, February 3, 5:30 to 8 p.m. in The Cinema, Connelly Center. Ms. Abulhawa will read portions of her book, give a short lecture about the conflict and hold an open dialogue with the audience. All are welcome! Co-sponsored by Gender & Women Studies; IGIS (Institute for Global Interdisciplinary Studies); Peace and Justice; Ethics; & Office of Mission/ Ministry.

Voices from Prison: 1/31
Join us for lunch on Monday, January 31, 12:30-1:30 p.m. in St. Augustine Center Room 300 as Fr. Paul Morrissey, OSA, shares classroom resources that connect Augustine's Confessions with narratives of prisoners in Philadelphia. Fr. Morrissey is the director of the Augustinian Spiritual Health Center and a chaplain in the Philadelphia Prison System. Event sponsored by Villanova Center for Liberal Education, Center for Peace and Justice Education, Office for Mission and Ministry and the Ethics Program.
